The phrase Urban was coined to get away from the word negro (manufactured by Europeans during the slave trade) coming from the Latin root word necro meaning dead!

Nowadays Urban has expanded from meaning black  to anything cool, street, road, sexy, funky and hip. If you are any of these, then you are Urban. Urban is now not a colour it’s a way of life!

If you listen to rap that spreads knowledge and wisdom, are in tune to aggressive Grime that is raw and  uncompromising, bruk out to D&B with beats that smack and punch, head nod to Dub Step with bass that rumbles your chest cavity, skank all night to Funky House, chill out to R&B, get wild to Dancehall, reminisce about the good old days to Garage and loose it to Bassline, then you are like us and we are Urbanites.
